YouTube Content Creator and Influencer Peter Sage’s Guide to a Stress-Free Life

Date:

Modernity has come with a lot of negative effects with anxiety and stress levels at all time highs. People are so caught up in a rigorous cycle which covers economic survival at one end to competitiveness at the other. This seems to operate in nearly all cultures and across all fields like education, business, career, fashion, and lifestyle where there is little time to enjoy the life we are so busy trying to create. The modern paradox is that we live longer than people in the past, have access to more resources of ease and comfort, and yet are suffering from the lowest levels of happiness or fulfillment.

According to human behavior expert and top influencer Peter Sage, one of the challenges lies in the fact we have forgotten that our outer world follows our inner world but most people live the other way around. Each human experience filters the outer world through the data collected by the five senses. This data collection system is virtually the same for everyone. However, the way we process that data determines our entire experience of it. He says, “The major distinction here is that people who have less stress, often are not the ones who have less things to stress about, it’s just that they have learned how to manage their ‘data processing’ and choose a more empowering meaning”.

Peter Sage is not one to teach theory.  His own life experience led him to spend 6 months in one of the UK’s toughest jails without ever being accused of a crime. However, rather than get upset, angry or depressed, he saw it as an amazing opportunity to not only test his philosophy and skills, but also help others in the process. His journey is detailed in what has become an award-winning book The Inside Track: An Inspirational Guide To Conquering Adversity which earned instant acclaim and became a best-seller on the day of release. It has since gone on to transform the lives of people throughout the world.

Peter believes that as human beings, we have the ultimate choice to decide how we see and perceive experiences, and what kind of habits to form. Seeing rain as a blessing for the plants even if it is hampering your drive to the office is entirely your choice. The ultimate rule to lead a stress-free life is to prioritise changing your perception before trying to change your circumstances.

He concludes his guide to a stress-free life with his pure words of wisdom.

“If we go to nature, we see that the strongest trees do not grow in the best soil but instead in the strongest winds.  In other words, our circumstances never define us. They simply give us the opportunity to define ourselves.”
